Lucknow: Switzerland’s Ambassador to India Dr. Ralph Heckner paid a courtesy call on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his official residence here today. On this occasion, discussions were held to further intensify relations between Switzerland and India, especially Uttar Pradesh.
The Chief Minister said that India and Switzerland have strong ties. Inviting Switzerland to invest in Uttar Pradesh, he said that there are unlimited possibilities of investment here. Various sectoral policies have been prescribed by the state government with an aim to encourage investment. A positive atmosphere has been set up in the state to attract investment from abroad. Uttar Pradesh occupies the second position in the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ rankings across the country.
The Chief Minister said that 02 international airports are being established in the state. An international airport is being developed at Kushinagar located in the eastern region of the state. The second international airport – Noida International Airport is being developed in the NCR of Jewar. Zurich Airport International AG has been selected as the developer of this airport. He said that the State Government is providing full support for the construction of this project.
The Chief Minister said that there are immense possibilities of tourism in Uttar Pradesh. Varanasi, Ayodhya, Mathura, Prayagraj etc. are pilgrimage sites in the state. From the point of view of eco-tourism, many beautiful places, rich historical heritage and diverse culture attract tourists. The successful event of Prayagraj Kumbh-2019 was appreciated in the country and abroad.
