Ahmedabad based Mantra Softech implemented to provide IRIS Scanner for Biometric Verification
Patna:Government of India has recently announced PM – KisanYojana, where the farmers can enroll themselves online to get the benefits of subsidies, grants and compensation under PM-KisanYojna. This program’s aimis to transform the lives of small and marginal farmers in India, by providing them assured monetary support in three installments every year. DBT will ensure transparency in the entire process and will save time of the farmers.Agriculture Department, Government of Bihar has already started taking positive steps for implementation of the same in Bihar.
Under DBT program, Bihar Government has implemented biometric verificationthrough IRIS Scanner (MIS100)& Fingerprint scanner (MFS100) from Mantra Softech India Pvt Ltd, which is an Ahmedabad based organization specializing in this field.
After enrolling for Biometric Verification, farmers will receive the beneficiary amount in their banks through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for any agricultural schemes. This online registration will help farmers with the crops selling, purchase of green manure, seeds or agricultural machinery. With the online enrolment, a farmer will require Aadhaar No., Biometrics Verification and/or OTP.
