Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has leveled allegations on his neighbor Ketan Kakkad for defaming him. In response to the charges against the neighbor, the Mumbai City Civil Court on Friday, however, has refused to pass any interim restraining order in favor of Salman. As per a news agency, Ketan Kakkad reportedly owns a plot near Salman Khan’s farmhouse residence in Panvel.

Salman allegedly approached the court saying that Ketan had defamed him in an interview with a YouTube channel. The news agency said that Kakkad’s judge has filed a reply and posted the information for further hearing on 21 January this year.

Salman’s lawyers have got an interim order that stops Kakkad from putting up any further defamatory statements as the legal suit is still going on. But Kakkad’s lawyers Abha Singh and Aditya Pratap resisted the order by sharing that the case papers were received only on Thursday evening and they could not go through the full legal suit.
Kakkad’s lawyers were of the opinion that Salman had got almost a month to file the suit whereas Kakkad hasn’t yet got enough time to file the reply and thus, they need time.
As per Salman’s complaint, along with Kakkad, there were also two other people who took part in the show. Salman wants the defamatory content against him to be removed from social media platforms and the search engine Google at the earliest.
It is strange that people use nowadays the internet to criticize and defame others, which is actually against the law and order of the digital world and human world too. Internet is a platform to share information and make people’s lives easier. However, things are not going the right way with some powerful people making use of the technology in an unlawful manner. Although legal cases are not new to Salman, timely action against the wrongdoers should be taken even by the system so that only the right prevails.
