In “Koffee With Karan,” Neetu Kapoor and Zeenat Aman discussed a wide range of subjects, with Rishi Kapoor being the main one. This Thursday at midnight, the popular show Koffee With Karan aired a very special 12th episode, which featured a variety of topics on the show, including their kids, grandkids, Instagram accounts, the history of the film industry, and more. Neetu even went back to relive her late husband Rishi Kapoor’s last days. Neetu reminisced about their time together while Rishi Kapoor was undergoing cancer treatment in New York: “So Karan, for me, I don’t like to remember the sad part.

She also mentioned how, in the final days, Rishi’s demeanor with his kids had changed from his usual reserved demeanor, since you are aware of how loving Chintu Ji (Rishi Kapoor) is. There was so much love in him. However, there was one thing he never truly expressed his love for. He was like a big thing, especially with me and my kids. Respect and everything, and as a result, he missed out on a lot of time with his kids. He never showed them any friendship. But he opened up that year, Shew continued. He was very charming and approached me with love. We had an amazing time.

Following a protracted flight with leukemia, Rishi Kapoor passed away in Mumbai in 2020. Son Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Riddhima Kapoor are the couple’s children. Ranbir has previously discussed his formal relationship with his father. At a recent event, Ranbir stated, “We didn’t have a very friendly relationship because he was always traveling.” I genuinely regret that one thing in my life—we were unable to simply sit and talk. I long to have a friendship with my father. One regret I will always have is not being able to share more with him. Although I respected him, we were never good friends. But I am happy that I can love my daughter.

On Koffee with Karan season 8, it would have been entertaining to watch Neetu Kapoor and Zeenat Aman squabble about their heroes from the 1970s. When they left the film business after getting married and having two kids, they were both at the height of their careers. You only start to question why these women weren’t around earlier when you witness their current comeback, such as Neetu’s following the passing of her husband Rishi Kapoor in 2020 and Zeenat’s following her Instagram debut. We were praising the Koffee gods only a week ago for bringing the septuagenarian Sharmila Tagore to the sofa. However, since she spearheaded the show with her son, Saif Ali Khan, the Pataudi family was the only subject of conversation.

However, the banter between Zeenat and Neetu, two prominent figures from the 1970s, felt like it was between peers who had passed their prime. Consider Madhuri Dixit and Juhu Chwala in season 4 or Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor in season 6. The conversation between Zeenat and Neetu was like stepping back in time to the 1970s. They talked about working three shifts a day, going to parties at Raj Kapoor’s bungalow, Rekha’s warmth and affection, Hema Malini’s poker-faced can-dour, memorable song-and-dance, working with Yash Chopra, and Amitabh Bachchan’s Angry Young Wave.
