Mumbai: Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor has passed away today. He was 67. He was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai due to ill health. Rishi Kapoor had been battling cancer for 2 years. Rishi Kapoor’s brother Randhir Kapoor told that he had trouble breathing due to which he was admitted to HN Reliance Hospital. For Bollywood two days in a row is no less than a big shock, Irfan died a day before and today Rishi Kapoor also said goodbye to this world.
Rishi Kapoor too has been battling cancer since the last one and half years. He had been to the US for over a year for his cancer treatment. The ‘Bobby’ actor had returned to India in last September from New York. His family had refrained from revealing exactly what kind of cancer he was diagnosed with.
Last night when reports of him rushed to Mumbai hospital came out, his elder brother Randhir Kapoor confirmed the news while speaking to indianexpress.com. He said, “He is hospitalised. Neetu is by his side. He is not well.”
Just after the death of Irrfan Khan, this is yet another blow to the Hindi film industry. Rishi is survived by his wife Neetu, son Ranbir and daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.
