Mumbai: Defamation case against film actress Payal Ghosh has been withdrawn from Bombay High Court. Actress Richa Chadha had filed a defamation case of 1.1 crore on Payal Ghosh. The case was withdrawn on Wednesday after both parties signed the consent terms. Richa Chaddha has also tweeted in the case.
Actually, Payal Ghosh had accused Anurag Kashyap of sexual exploitation at that time he also said that there are many actresses who are willing to do anything to work with Anurag. Payal had named Richa Chadha, Mahi Gill and Huma Qureshi among those actresses. Payal Ghosh had claimed that Kashyap had intimate relationships with other female actors including Richa Chadha.
Richa Chadha started legal action after taking his name after contacting his lawyers. Richa also shared her lawyer Savina Bedi Sachar’s statement on Instagram in this case. In the statement, the lawyer said, “My client has initiated appropriate legal action and will exercise her legal rights.”
On Wednesday, she told the Bombay High Court that she regretted her statement about Richa Chadha and she apologized unconditionally. Richa’s lawyers said that she (Richa) is willing to accept the apology.
