Big development coming in from the MeToo controversy surrounding director Anurag Kashyap and actress Payal Ghosh. As per reports actress Richa Chadha has filed a defamation suit against Payal Ghosh for dragging her name in the controversy. Richa has seeked Rs 1.1 crores in damages for maligning her reputation in this matter.
Actually, the case was heard on Tuesday where no one from the other party was present. Due to this, the Bombay High Court has postponed it till October 7, extending the case by one more day. Notices were not sent to the respondents so they should be sent again. Now further hearing in this matter will be done on the next date.
Those against whom the case has been filed were not given notice, so they have been given a day to appear in court. Payal Ghosh accused Anurag Kashyap of sexual exploitation. At that time she also said that there are many actresses who are willing to do anything to work with Anurag. Payal had named Richa Chadha, Mahi Gill and Huma Qureshi among those actresses. Payal Ghosh had claimed that Kashyap had intimate relationships with other female actors including Richa Chadha.
