Chennai: Superstar Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad on the morning of December 25, 2020. The hospital issued a statement explaining Rajinikanth’s health condition. According to the release, he was suffering from blood pressure and exhaustion. The hospital also clarified that he did not have any symptoms of COVID.
Mr Rajinikanth has been admitted in the hospital today (December 25) in the morning. He was shooting for a movie in Hyderabad since the last 10 days. A couple of people on the sets tested positive for Covid-19. Mr. Rajinikanth was tested on 22nd December for Covid-19 and he was negative. Since then he isolated himself and was monitored closely.
A senior Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM) functionary in Chennai said that the 70-year-old actor felt tired and giddy in the morning and was taken to the hospital as per the doctor’s advice.
“We are in constant touch with the hospital authorities about our Thalaivar’s (leader’s) health. They have said that he would be discharged once his blood pressure becomes normal,” the RMM functionary said. Stating that there was no plan to re-schedule the launch of the actor’s political party, he added that “our few of senior functionaries might leave for Hyderabad”.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth fans have been conduction special poojas in temples and praying for his quick recovery. Earlier the shooting of Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe came to a halt on Wednesday after four unit members tested positive during the routine check-up on the film’s set in Hyderabad.
