New Delhi: Former Bollywood actress Somi Ali, who played small innings in Hindi films, says that she liked being a part of the Hindi film industry, but she believes that there are many other places where she can do more. She is currently running an NGO called ‘No More Tears’.
About her acting and film days, she says- ‘I look back and see if my filings are mixed. I have no regrets but would like to say that at that time I was very young and there was no one to guide me. I believed the wrong people. I did not want to believe that person whom I used to believe everything. Yes, I am proud of my visit. I came as I am and raised my voice against things that I did not agree with.
She has golden memories as an actress. Somi says about this- ‘I remember, as an actress, I used to travel a lot. I loved it I enjoyed working with Sunil Shetty, Mithun Chakraborty and Om Puri. Some people were standing with me when I was in a bad relationship. My memories as an actor in India are sour and sweet.
Taking the matter further, Somi says- ‘I would also like to mention Salman’s mother here. She was very amazing to me. I really can’t remember any meeting with anyone else. I don’t think it was her fault, because I was also very confused about what I was doing. I was very young and naive. I also made a lot of mistakes. But I also learned a lot from his mistakes. I feel that whatever I am today is due to the experiences that I have gone through.
