Farhan Akhtar’s father, Javed Akhtar, confirmed his son’s engagement to Shibani Dandekar, his girlfriend of nearly four years, on February 21. The wedding of Farhan and Shibani would be a very simple ceremony held at Javed’s family house in Khandala.
Only a few people will be able to attend the wedding due to the Covid-19 pandemic’s restrictions. The invitations have yet to be sent out, according to Javed.

“Yes, the wedding is taking place,” Javed stated in an interview. The rest, shaadi ki jo taiyyariyan hain (the rest of the wedding preparations), is handled by the wedding planners.”
It will be a small ceremony, according to Javed. “Given the circumstances, it’s clear that we won’t be able to host anything on a huge scale.” As a result, we’ll only be phoning a few folks. It will be a fairly straightforward affair. He also referred to Shibani as a “really nice girl” who the family adores.
Shibani wished Farhan a happy birthday last month by sending him a photo of the two of them twinning in black formal attire with a lovely caption. Shibani got Farhan’s name tattooed on her neck for her birthday last year.

Farhan was previously married to Adhuna Bhabani, a hairstylist. Shakya and Akira are the two daughters of the former couple, who split in 2017.
