Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate has sent notices to three of Bollywood’s famous fashion designers Manish Malhotra, Sabyasachi and Ritukumar for questioning. A notice has been sent to him in the case of illegal transaction of lakhs of rupees with a leader of Punjab. According to ED sources, those three fashion designers have been called to Delhi for questioning on different dates. According to ED sources, the MLA belonging to Punjab Congress had illegally given them lakhs of rupees in cash.
The Punjab MLA whose name is being named in this illegal transaction is facing ED investigation. During the investigation of his bank accounts, some such transactions were revealed, after which the ED has summoned him to Delhi for questioning. Manish Kumar, Sabyasachi and Ritu Kumar design the clothes of Bollywood actors, celebrities and even prominent leaders in the political class.
Apart from fashion shows, their designer brands are worth millions of crores. It is believed that if the Income Tax has not been informed about such transactions in the investigation of the transaction, then the Income Tax Department can also be involved in this investigation.
