Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on Thursday slapped a defamation notice on the YouTuber Rashid Siddiqui who had made allegations against him in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

A 500 crore suit has been filed by Kumar against Siddiqui, for falsely claiming that Kumar had aided Rhea Chakraborty to escape to Canada and also had secret talks with Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aaditya Thackeray about the death.

Notably, Siddiqui, a civil engineer from Bihar was earlier arrested by Maharashtra Police for spreading fake news and for dragging Thackeray’s name into the case. He has been accused of defamation, public mischief and intentional insult.

Siddiqui had claimed that Akshay Kumar was not pleased with Sushant Singh Rajput landing the role of Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
