Another shocking news of the year. Tamil television actress VJ Chithra of Pandian Stores fame has reportedly committed suicide. The actress was just 28. It has come as a huge shock for everyone in the Tamil industry. Media reports said that Chithra was found hanging by the ceiling at a five-star hotel Nazarethpettai. The reports also said that Chithra had been shooting at the EVP Film city late in the night and had returned to her room in the hotel at around 2:30 am. The reports further state that Chithra had been staying with her businessman fiance Hemanth. Chithra and Hemanth got engaged a couple of months ago.
On the work front, Chithra worked as a presenter at various Tamil TV shows and was seen as Mullai in Pandian Stores as well. Her character of Mullai is extremely popular among the audience and she earned a lot of fan following due to her stint. Chithra was also a social media enthusiast and her latest Instagram story was about 12 hours ago where she had reposted Sharanya Turadi’s Instagram stories featuring her. She had posted a picture from her photoshoot about 14 hours ago. It is being said that Chithra suffered from depression. Her drastic step to end her life has shocked her fans to the core.
