New Delhi: Properties worth crores of actor Dino Morea have been attached in the Rs 14,500 crore bank loan fraud case by Gujarat-based businessmen Sandesara brothers. According to the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which probes financial crimes, a money laundering probe in the case revealed financial transactions between the Sandesara brothers and Irfan Siddiqui. Similarly, Dino Morea was also revealed to be involved in this.
The case allegedly involves a bank loan fraud of Rs 14,500 crore. The accused in this case are Sterling Biotech and its main promoters and directors Nitin Jayantilal Sandesara, Chetankumar Jayantilal Sandesara and Deepti Sandesara are missing. Nitin and Chetankumar are brothers and had fled India along with others in 2017.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday said it has attached assets of late Congress leader Ahmed Patel’s son-in-law, actors Dino Morea and Sanjay Khan and DJ Aqueel in a money laundering case involving Gujarat-based pharmaceutical company Sterling Biotech Group. The ED said that under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), preliminary orders have been issued to attach the properties of four people. The value of the property is Rs 8.79 crore.
