Auto Desk— Suzuki Motorcycle India has just unveiled its eagerly anticipated Suzuki V-Strom 800DE, available in three colour variants: Champion Yellow, Glass Matte Mechanical Grey, and Glass Sparkle Black. The introductory price tag is Rs 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE employs a 776cc parallel-twin D.O.H.C. engine with a patented Cross Balancer system, which minimizes vibrations and ensures a remarkably smooth ride. It also has a liquid-cooling system and a 2-into-1 exhaust setup with a dual-stage catalytic converter.
The motorcycle gets Hitachi Astemo (Showa) inverted front forks with 220mm wheel travel and a mono-shock rear suspension with adjustable spring preload. This setup, combined with a towering 220mm ground clearance, positions the V-Strom 800DE as the tallest among its V-Strom siblings, ready to tackle any obstacle.
Moreover, it is equipped with wire-spoked and semi-block-patterned Dunlop wheels—21-inch at the front and 17-inch at the rear—which promise superior grip and stability on both tarmac and trails.
It carries forward the iconic V-Strom ‘beak’, now positioned higher, lending it an imposing presence. A custom 5-inch coloured TFT LCD screen offers vital information at a glance, adaptable for night and day visibility. The 20-litre fuel tank ensures long rides without frequent stops.
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE has packed the V-Strom 800DE with cutting-edge technology. The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) encompasses an array of features designed to enhance the riding experience. It includes the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S.D.M.S.), Traction Control System (S.T.S.C.) with a new Gravel mode, ride-by-wire electronic throttle, bi-directional quick shift system, two-mode A.B.S., and the Suzuki Easy Start System, among others.
