Auto Desk – River announced the launch of its new Indie electric scooter at a starting price tag of Rs 1.25 lakh. This is an introductory price, it can hike in the coming months. Also, the company opened order books for the customers.
For unaware, River is a Bengaluru-based electric scooter start-up.
The new electric scooter has an unconventional design with twin-beam full LED headlights at the front apron. The look apart is a different body design that looks rugged. The dual-tone color options give it a sporty look.
It runs on large 14-inch wheels and it comes with the largest storage capacity. It has also come with an exclusive Lock & Load pannier. It delivers 26 Nm of peak torque and propels the scooter from a standstill to 40 km/hr in 3.9 seconds. The top speed is 90 km/hr.
The new scooter has three riding modes Eco, Ride, and Rush. The 4 kWh battery provides a range of 120 km and can be charged to 80% in 5 hours. Also, it includes a fully digital screen, two USB charging ports, and the reverse parking assists feature.
