Auto Desk – Maruti Suzuki India’s upcoming car Maruti Suzuki Invicto bookings open on June 19 and the price will be announced on July 5.
Maruti Suzuki Invicto will be the first Toyota car to be sold in India under its own brand name. Maruti has already launched two vehicles for Toyota, the erstwhile Vitara Brezza, sold as Urban Cruiser, and Baleno offers as the Glanza.
It is expected that the Maruti Suzuki Invicto price to be similar to Toyota Innova Hycross i.e. Rs 18.55 lakh and Rs 29.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Toyota Innova Hycross offered 2 engine options — 2.0-litre VVTi petrol and 2.0-litre VVTi petrol with a self-charging hybrid electric system. The 2.0-liter VVTi petrol gives 174PS of max power and 205Nm of peak torque. While hybrid units provide max power of 186PS with torque at 188Nm and motor torque at 206Nm.
So, it could be expected that Maruti Suzuki Invicto has both engine options.
The Maruti Suzuki Invicto will be Maruti’s flagship vehicle introduced in India. Currently. the Grand Vitara is the most expensive model of the company, which a price range between Rs 10.70 lakh and Rs 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
