Auto Desk – Citroen has launched its maiden electric vehicle in India E-C3 EV with a starting price of ₹11.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in four variants – Live, Feel, Feel Vibe Pack, and Feel dual-tone Vibe Pack. The top version of the E-C3 EV cost ₹12.43 lakh (ex-showroom).
The deliveries of the E-C3 are based on the C3 internal combustion engine version and are expected to commence next few days.
The Citroen E-C3 will compete with the Tata Tigor EV and it comes at a higher rate than the Tiago EV. Talking about the design, it resembles the standard C3 model and features an ‘e’ badge to differentiate it as an EV.
It has a 29.2 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 320 km on a single charge. It’s electric motor offers 57 PS of peak power and 143 Nm torque. Also, it can jump from 0 to 60 kmph in just 6.8 seconds. The top speed of the EV is 107 kmph.
The battery supports DC fast charging, which helps the battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent in 57 minutes. Also, it comes with a three-spoke flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
