Auto Desk – BMW Motorrad has unveiled M 1000 RR in the Indian market at ₹49 lakh (ex-showroom). Also, they have launched a Competition variant of the bike at ₹55 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can book both models.
The M 1000 RR is a high-performance track-oriented version introduced by BMW Motorrad. It features newly designed carbon fiber winglets at the front. These winglets provide enhanced downforce with an increase of 6.3 kg and at a speed of 300 kmph, it offer 22.6 kg of downforce.
The bike is equipped with a 999 cc four-cylinder engine which offers 209 bhp at 14,500 rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm. Coupled with a 6-speed gearbox, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.1 seconds.
It also includes features like launch control, wheelie control, slide control, dynamic brake control, and more.
Whereas, the M Competition released several additional features to the M 1000 RR such as the M GPS lap trigger, M Aero wheel covers, and a rear wheel swinging arm.
Additionally, there is a new carbon package available, offering a lighter M footrest, reducing weight by 150 g.
