Mamta Banerjee will take oath as Chief Minister for the third time on May 5 with simplicity

Kolkata: Mamta Banerjee, who led the Trinamool Congress to victory in the glittering assembly elections in West Bengal, will take oath as Chief Minister in the capital Kolkata on 5 May. She is swearing in as the CM of the state for the third time. In the TMC MLAs meeting, Mamata Banerjee was chosen as the leader of the party Legislature Party. The swearing-in ceremony will be held in simplicity due to the Corona epidemic. In the West Bengal assembly elections, the ruling Trinamool Congress won 213 out of 292 seats.

Voting was held in eight phases in March and April in the state. The BJP has become a big opposition party by winning 77 seats. Banerjee has won the party for the second consecutive time in the state assembly with a two-thirds majority. Mamta Banerjee has returned her party Trinamool Congress to power for the third consecutive time in the West Bengal assembly elections, but during this she lost her assembly seat in Nandigram.

However, even after losing the election, there is no obstruction in the way of Mamta becoming CM. According to the constitutional system, one can become a CM even after losing his seat and not being a member of the Legislative Assembly, but he will have to be elected a member of the Legislative Assembly or the Legislative Council within six months.
