Election Commission should be renamed as Modi Code of Conduct: Mamta

New Delhi: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s anger once again erupted over the Election Commission and the Central Government. On being stopped from visiting Cooch Behar, CM Mamta tweeted that the name of the Election Commission should be changed to MCC i.e. Modi Code of Conduct. He said that BJP should use its full power but it cannot stop me from standing with my people and sharing their pain. According to Mamta, she can stop me from visiting my brothers and sisters in Cooch Behar for three days and on the fourth day I will meet her there.

Let us tell you that after the first large-scale violence during the West Bengal assembly elections, the Election Commission has banned the entry of leaders in the violence-hit district for three days. On Sunday, the TMC announced that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee would visit the violence-hit area, while Yashwant Sinha said that by preventing Mamata from moving to Cooch Behar district, the election authorities have surrounded themselves on charges. Mamta Banerjee is still the Chief Minister of West Bengal and it is her responsibility to visit the spot after this unfortunate incident.
