Meerut: Very sensitive city Meerut has seen curfew situation many times, seen people closed in homes, seen deserted roads. But today the roads in Meerut are not deserted because there has been communal violence or a riot. Today people here have locked themselves at their own will. Today, a virus named Corona has been attacked on the country, Meerut residents have taken this step to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, like all the people of the country, to compete against the same virus.
Today morning started in the city with silence, the places which always had huge crowds, today are deserted, whether it is city markets or colonies. The police has been patrolling since morning and urging the citizens to make the Janata Curfew a success.
There is silence in places like Begum Bridge, Saarthinagar, Nai Sadak, Clock Tower, Saket and Kachehri Pul etc. Abu Lane, the city’s busiest market, is also completely closed. The people of the city are fully cooperating in making the Janata Curfew a success.
Let me tell you, in view of the cases of Corona virus-infected in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed for ‘Janata curfew’ on Sunday. PM Modi has asked all the countrymen not to leave the house from 7 am to 9 pm.
Apart from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, the effect of Janata curfew is also seen in Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Noida, Varanasi and other cities. There is silence in the parks which are buzzing with the crowd of people in the morning. In Ayodhya, there was an early morning darshan of devotees, but today there is no one there. There is complete silence in Agra as well. It can be said that the people of UP are seen fully following the curfew appeal.
