Changing the HR Landscape

ArticleChanging the HR Landscape

Date:

Dehradoon :  HR has been evolving a lot as a function in the last couple of years. The war for talent has been increasing, and as a consequence organizations are looking at HR more prominently than before. A lot of the future of HR will be decided by the investment of top leaders in some of the most serious challenges HR is facing today. The changes happen slowly so most challenges won’t be addressed and solved in the short run.

In a recent survey done by the Society for Human Resource Management, HR professional Jyoti Tuteja says that the three biggest challenges facing HR executives over the next 10 years are:

  1. Retaining and rewarding the best employees (59%)
  2. Developing the next generation of corporate leaders (52%)
  3. Creating a corporate culture that attracts the best employees (36%)

To understand how the future will evolve for them, we asked Ms Jyoti Tuteja who is an MBA Professional with 6 Years’ of extensive experiences in all aspects of recruitment’s across industry practices and brings fresh new ideas to the table.

She feels that most of young people feel pressure at their workplace and land up spending time on non productive activities.

She strongly beliefs that every employee must be positively engaged and have work satisfaction. This happens when they start spending time with the right people and start making happiness a daily priority. In her view now days a lot of companies are flexible and open to employee needs like allowing them to follow flexible work schedule (allowing employees to set their own schedules) and telecommuting (allowing employees to work from home or a remote location for a specified period of time, such as one day per week). This really helps the professionals who are house wives and / or have small kids.

On average, people spend 40% of their waking hours at work, so it is vital that you’re spending that time doing something you enjoy.
