Mukhtar Ansari’s lands confiscated

Ghazipur (UP): Two plots of land belonging to jailed former legislator and gangster Mukhtar Ansari were seized on Saturday, officials of the Ghazipur district administration said on Saturday. The cost of the land measuring 1.901 hectares is over Rs 6 crore. The property was purchased through illegal means. A team led by superintendent of police confiscated the plots.

According to reports the plots, measuring 0,394 hectares in Rajdepur of Ghazipur Sadar and the other measuring 1.507 hectares in Fatehullahpur of Nandganj were in the name of the gangster’s wife Afshan Ansari. Ansari is  lodged in the Banda jail.
