14-year-old girl shot dead in Sambhal village

Sambhal (UP): After the murder of an elderly couple in Kanpur on Tuesday, an unidentified criminal shot dead a 14-year-old girl in Rajpura area on Wednesday morning when she was sleeping in the lawns, the police said. Superintendent of Police Chakresh Mishra said that when the girl identified as Bhavana was sleeping in the lawns of her house in Raniganj village, some criminals shot her dead. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, he said, adding that the motive behind the crime was not learnt. An investigation into the case is going on and her family members are being questioned.
