Now you can edit your sent messages, Whatsapp to launch the edit feature soon
Since the launch of WhatsApp people have forgotten if text messages still existed and is undoubtedly one of the most popular messaging platforms in the world. With a large population around the globe using whatsapp for different needs, the developers are constantly looking to improve the user experience by ideating and working on adding new features and improving existing ones.
Recently, WhatsApp has been testing a new feature on beta that lets users arrange their messages by date and hide being seen online to others. Now, a report by WABetaInfo shares that the Whatsapp is coming up with yet another useful feature on the messaging platform that will allow users to edit sent messages.
Though there is not enough clarity on how the feature works out for users, it is likely that WhatsApp is planning to introduce an ‘edited’ label to the sent message, so the receiver knows that the message has been edited.
There are also rumours that there might be a time window to edit messages as Whatsapp had for deleting a message for everyone. It seems like this feature is still under development and the users will have to wait for the official announcement. According to the apps latest Android update, the edit message is not accessible to beta testers right now.
An important fact to note is that the app developers were working on the same feature this year in the month of May, but suddenly dropped it due to some undisclosed reasons.
There are also report that came out this month suggesting that WhatsApp will stop working on older iPhone models beginning October this year.
