The elephant has woken up, BJP surprised: Ramesh
New Delhi: The elephant has woken up which has surprised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh on Monday. He said the Bharat Jodo Yatra will strengthen the party and spread its ideology. He told journalists that the Congress’ activeness has surprised the BJP which is spreading rumours about the Yatra. Everyone is taking part in the Yatra. About the comment by the pastor, Ramesh said that the Congress never bothers about such comments and never subscribes to them. He said the Rashtriya Sayamsevak Sangh is a rumour-spreading society and a party.
Ramesh said, “People who were responsible for the killing of Mahatma Gandhi and the murders of people like Narendra Dabholkar, Govind Pansare, MM Kalburgi and Gauri Lankesh are raising questions! What a morbid joke! An atrocious tweet from the BJP hate factory is doing the rounds. It bears no relation whatsoever to what is recorded in the audio. This is typical BJP mischief that has become more desperate after the successful launch of Bharat Jodo Yatra which is evoking a huge response.”
According to him, the Yatra has evoked good response and widespread media coverage. The Yatra will be in Kerala by September 30 and Karnataka on October 1. A Congress spokesperson said that the Congress’s Yatra has deprived the BJP leaders of their sleep, so they are making absurd comments on it.
