New Delhi/Bhopal: The coronavirus has again begun to spread its tentacles in the national capital from where 1,118 cases were reported on Tuesday. The positivity was 6.50%, and there were two fatalities, sources in the health department said. On May 11, Delhi recorded more than 1,000 cases with a positivity rate of 3.34% and one death. According to reports from Bhopal, 62 positive cases were reported from Madhya Pradesh on Monday, but the recoveries stood at only 27 taking the number of active patients from 329 on June 13.
Now, the number of cases that stood at 136 on March 31 has shot up to 370, the health department in Bhopal said. Nevertheless, only 6, 564 samples were tested in Madhya Pradesh on Monday. New infections were reported from 17 of the 52 districts. Bhopal alone reported 19 new cases, Indore 12 and Jabalpur eight. The positivity rate rose to 0.9% in the state.
Meanwhile, doctors have advised the residents to follow the corona-related norms and put on masks again. The cases mat spike over the next few weeks. Nearly 1.4 people in the state took the second jab nine months ago, but only 15 lakhs took the precautions, leaving them vulnerable to the disease at a time when cases are rising again. Experts further said that the impact of vaccines wanes after nine months.
