Kolkata: A post by a Bengali actor that along with cash and jewellery, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has ferreted out sex toys from the residence of Arpita Mukherjee, a close aide of West Bengal’s former minister Partha Chatterjee has gingered up social media gossips. ED has arrested Chatterjee in connection with teachers’ recruitment scam.

When the issue was put up before the ED officials, one of them said that such items seemed to have no links with the multi-crore scam. They said that these items were insignificant in comparison to cash, gold and other items found in the house during the raid. Nevertheless, the Bengali actor Sreelekha Mitra’s post has provided a few spicy elements to the netizens. Mitra’s comments that probably some shortcomings on part of Chatterjee may have been the reasons for the presence of such toys in Mukherjee’s residence caused a lot of sniggers on social media. Mitra’s post reads: “Was Partha unsuccessful. Nation wants to know?”  Her post was, however, beyond regular political chinwag, which the netizens were fed up with.
