NationalMP CM given cold tea, substandard food at Khajuraho airport

Date:

Bhopal: Serving cold tea and sub-standard food to Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan has caused trouble to a government employee. The incident happened when Chauhan, with Bharatiya Janata Party’s state president VD Sharma, was on a transit visit to Khajuraho, sources said on Tuesday.  Sharma is an MP from Khajuraho constituency. Both of them met the party workers at the airport and left for Katni to campaign for the ongoing civic polls.

A show-cause notice has been served on a food inspector who has been asked to reply in the matter. According to the notice issued on July 11, sub-divisional magistrate of the Rajnagar area in Chhatarpur district observed that food inspector Rajesh entrusted with serving breakfast and tea to the dignitaries at the airport lounge on Monday.

The notice says that the chief minister was given substandard food (breakfast), besides the tea offered to him was cold and such behaviour has put a question mark on the district administration’s ability to deal with the chief minister’s protocol. It shows that the VVIP services were not taken seriously.
