After Haryana, Jharkhand, cop crushed to death in Gujarat

New Delhi: Goons continued to attack the policemen in different parts of the country. Three policemen, including an officer of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, were crushed to death in the past three days.
After a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) was crushed to death at Nuh, Haryana, similar incidents took place in Gujarat and Jharkhand.

On Wednesday, during checking of vehicles in the Borsad area in Gujarat’s Anand district, a traffic policeman Raj Kiran who tried to stop a truck was crushed to death, the police said. According to reports, Raj Kiran died at a hospital and the culprits are absconding.

Similarly, a woman inspector Sandhya Topno was crushed to death in Ranchi, capital of Jharkhand, on Tuesday night.  Criminals involved in illegal smuggling of animals were involved in the crime, the police said.

Ajit Topno, brother of the lady Inspector, said that at 3 pm on Tuesday he had received the news that her elder sister Sandhya had died in a road accident. Ajit told reporters that when the accident occurred, Sandhya was trying to stop the car for checking. She was posted at Tupudana police station near Ranchi.

In the same way, the miners crushed to death a DSP-rank officer Surendra Singh Bishnoi in Nuh area of Haryana on Tuesday. The police arrested the driver of the dumper that crushed the police officer. When the culprit was trying to escape, the police shot him in the leg. Just as he fell, they collared him.
