This will be the first major rally of Congress in Navjeevan College ground before the assembly elections. Congress is organizing this rally to strengthen its hold on the tribal vote bank. Congress MLA Kotwal resigns before Rahul's visit
Congress MLA Ashwin Kotwal, a veteran leader of the tribal community of Gujarat, resigned from the party on Tuesday. After resigning from the membership of the Legislative Assembly, he joined the BJP. During this, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi resides in his heart since 2007. At the BJP headquarters in Gandhinagar, party president CR Patil joined the BJP wearing a saffron cap. He had reached the BJP office with two thousand of his supporters. Kotwal, who was elected MLA three times, questioned the party's arrangements and praised PM Modi after leaving the Congress. He said that while working for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Modi visited every hut of the tribals from Umargam to Ambaji and observed their problems closely. Modi is working dedicatedly towards public service. Such a development man will not be found second on earth.
Hardik Patel removed 'Congress' from his Twitter bio ahead of the assembly elections
