Congress’s Chintin Shivir: 50% reservation for SC / ST and OBC in Congress party

In the three-day Chintan Shivir, Congress has decided that 50% reservation will be given to the weaker sections in the party.

NewDelhi: Congress’s Chintan Shivir: In the ongoing three-day Chintan Shivir in Udaipur, Rajasthan, it has been decided by the Congress that there will be fifty percent quota of SC / ST and OBC in the party organization. According to the information, a large section in the party had been demanding 50 percent reservation for SC/ST and OBC in the party organization for a long time. On the second day of the Chintan Shivir, party leader K Raju told what decisions the party has taken. According to K Raju, organizational changes have been approved in the party for social justice and empowerment. He said that the committee constituted for social justice and empowerment has approved the proposal of reservation. The proposal will be tabled in the Congress Working Committee on Sunday.

Apart from this, it has been decided to constitute Social Justice Advisory Council in the party. It is being said that this committee will raise social issues in front of the Congress President and advise him in this regard. Apart from this, the Congress Working Committee meeting will be held once in 6 months for the socially weaker sections.

K Raju said that we want that a caste-based census should be done at the national level. SC, ST and OBC get the benefit of reservation in the private sector also. Apart from this, the party wants that there should be separate provisions for women belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the Women's Reservation Bill.

Significantly, Sunday is the third day of Congress's three-day Chintan Shivir in Udaipur. Whatever decisions will be taken in different committees for two days, they will be placed before the Congress Working Commentary on Sunday. These decisions will be finalized by the Congress Working Committee.

Earlier, it was decided by the INC leadership in Chintin Shivir that the party will give 50% of posts to the youths at every level of organization. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi has also called a meeting of office-bearers today at the camp.
