BJP MLA’s driver gets bail in an accident case, two were killed

Lucknow: The driver of the BJP MLA from the Lakhimpur seat was produced before the court on Monday and the court granted him bail. On Sunday the car linked to Yogesh collided with two bikers and they were dead. The MLA wasn’t in the car.

According to the Lakhimpur Police, the car collided on the Pilibhit-Basti highway near Pangi Khurd village on Sunday night. There was ‘Vidhayak’ (legislator) written over the vehicle. The car belonged to a family member of the MLA. Car driver Munendra, who had fled after the accident was arrested later and was produced before the court.

Akhilesh says double engine power vehicle continues to crush people 

In this incident, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav took a jibe. He said double engine power vehicle continues to crush people. Experts say that Akhilesh was commenting on this incident with addition to another in which MoS Home, Ajay Mishra’s son is accused. On Monday the supreme court rejected the bail of him and ordered to surrender within a week’s time. Akhilesh said ‘Two brothers’ died being crushed by a car linked to BJP MLA. BJP raised the slogan of the double engine, during the recently held state polls. Akhilesh smashed back that the power of the double engine is crushing poor people. Few days before he made the similar statement over price rise.
