New Delhi: The Indian business baron Gautam Adani of Adani group, whose business interests spread from port, to FMCG to mines and green energy has made into the elite $100 billion club after his income surge almost $24 billion this year..

Meanwhile, the fellow countryman and Reliance group chairman Mukesh Ambani, slipped to $99 billion, in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index after he first made entry to the benchmark in October. Gautam Adani the self-made business tycoon is a college dropout made a cut from the coal industry. Now he is shifting focus to clean energy by foraying into green energy and infrastructure which brought huge investments from companies like France’s Total SE and Warburg Pincus.

According to the sources, Adani is now eyeing the Middle East after Australia. He is now busy exploring trade potential and set to crack a deal with Saudi Arabia’s and the world’s largest oil exporter.

In the last few years, some of the Adani group stocks have seen an exponential rise and have surged more than 1200 percent. He is also championing the cause of PM Modi’s Aatmnirbhar Bharat to make India self-sufficient in every sphere of the economy.

The year 2021 was a marquee year for the rich across the world; since this year, in which the rich make most of it by offsetting the Covid-19 pandemic slowdown, where the world’s 500 richest people added more than $1 trillion to their kitty. Gautam Adani too stood out and joined the elite $100 bn club with his net worth soared by $42.7 billion, making it one of the biggest gains of the year.

Adani and Ambani the two business conglomerates of India whose business interests are in oil to telecom, reached the pinnacle of the world’s richest ranking that was once dominated by US businessmen who made their fortunes in tech businesses.
