Harak Singh Rawat Joined Congress

Harak Singh Rawat, who was dismissed from Uttarakhand’s ruling party the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), joined the Congress on Friday, five days after his expulsion. Rawat joined the Congress in Delhi, where he was welcomed by Harish Rawat, the state’s former chief minister.

Harak Singh Rawat slammed the BJP today, stating, “That will be my apology when Congress obtains a full majority on March 10. I was furious because the BJP thought of me as a pawn to be used and thrown around. As I promised, I didn’t break up with Home Minister Amit Shah until the last possible minute.”

Harak Singh Rawat has rejoined the Congress, having left the party in 2017 to join the BJP. The politician was a member of the Uttarakhand administration until he was fired by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who accused him of attempting to join Sonia Gandhi’s party.

“Until he was with us, he was treated with respect.” Following speculations that he may enter the Congress, the party decided to take action against him. Our call has been answered. “Now the Congress has to make a decision,” Dhami remarked on Tuesday.
