Angry over the question of reducing aggression

Christchurch: Captain Virat Kohli lost his temper at the press conference on Monday after losing 0–2 in a two-Test series against New Zealand. Kohli was asked by the journalist if he needed to reduce his aggression on the field. Kohli did not like the question and expressed his displeasure at the journalist.

Kohli was celebrating with aggression after the dismissal of Kane Williamson and Tom Latham on the second day on Sunday. A video is going viral on social media in which Indian captains are using abusive language by pointing to the audience. The incident happened when Mohammad Shami dismissed Tom Latham in New Zealand’s first innings.

A journalist asked Kohli if he needed to rein in his aggression to set an example for his team. Kohli got a little angry on this. He said, ‘What do you think? I ask you the answer. You should find out well what happened there, then come up with a better question. I have spoken to the match referee, you cannot come here with half the information. Thank you.’

Kohli went through poor form on the New Zealand tour. He was able to cross the 50 mark only once during the entire tour. Kohli could not even score 20 runs in the Test series. New Zealand won by seven wickets at Heagley Oval.

With this win, New Zealand eliminated India in the Test series. New Zealand took 120 points from this series and now its total points have been 180. India is still at the top with 360 points.
