James Anderson showed, there will be some style of celebrating wickets in the field

London: The first glimpse of the change in cricket in the Corona era was seen on the first day of the three-day warm-up match between the players of the England team selected for the three-Test series against the West Indies. The impact of the game was evident due to Corona on the first day of this warm-up between Team Butler and Team Stokes on Wednesday at the Aegis Bowl.

Anderson’s return to the field was a matter of discussion, but what caught his attention even more was his style of celebrating the wicket from fellow players. Instead of shaking hands and hugging as before, they celebrated by maintaining proper physical distance. Anderson used his elbow to celebrate the wicket without touching his teammates. Also, England’s most successful bowler Anderson was also seen using a hand sanitizer in the middle overs during a practice match.

Anderson bowled 18 overs in the day and took 2 wickets for 49 runs, while Ben Stokes conceded 20 runs in eight overs but did not get a wicket. Overton brothers Craig (32/2) and Jamie (25/1) were the other bowlers to take wickets.

This warm-up match is being played in a sanitized environment and in an empty stadium. Bowlers are not allowed to use saliva to shine the ball.

The first Test of the three-Test series between England and West Indies will be played at the Ages Bowl in Southampton from 8 July.
