Nasir Hussain said, batting still a ‘headache’ for England

Southampton: Former England captain Nasir Hussain said that batting remains a ‘headache’ for the team, even after questioning the decision of the acting captain Ben Stokes in the first Test match against the West Indies. The stunning batting of German Blackwood led the West Indies to a memorable four-wicket win to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

This decision was raised before the match when veteran Steward Broad was not included in the team. Stokes then won the toss and decided to bat first which went against the team. England’s first innings was reduced to 204 runs.

The 52-year-old Hussein told Sky Sports, “Don’t lose sight of Broad’s issue or the decision to bat by winning the toss.” England’s team batting first was dismissed for 204 runs. It is still a headache for them. ‘
