New Delhi: New Zealand captain and Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Kane Williamson said on Wednesday that it would be great to play and be part of the IPL 2020, but added that he was waiting for more information about the tournament.
With the ICC confirming the postponement of the T20 World Cup 2020 on Monday, the BCCI looks forward to hosting the IPL 2020 between September and November this year. The IPL 2020 edition was earlier scheduled to be launched from March 29 this year, but the tournament was postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus epidemic.
Kane Williamson, along with other New Zealand cricketers, is now ready to take the field to practice. His board had said that six national camps would be held for the coming winter months. Williamson quoted ESPN Cricinfo as saying, “The BCCI wants to host the IPL keeping everything in mind, which is a good thing.”
