Big jolt before IPL auction: Arjun Tendulkar not named in Mumbai team

All the teams have started their preparations for the IPL auction. Punjab and RCB have the most money left during this auction. So both of them will have a chance to buy the most expensive players. Arjun Tendulkar, who is participating in the auction for the first time, will also be eyed by many franchisees. But Arjun has got a big shock even before the IPL auction.

Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer has been named the captain of the Mumbai team in the Vijay Hazare Trophy starting on Wednesday, 20 February. Iyer did not play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy due to a shoulder injury. Mumbai Cricket Association announced a 22-member squad for the domestic 50-over championship. Indian opener Prithvi Shaw was named the vice-captain of the Mumbai team.

Arjun Tendulkar is not named in the Mumbai team. He played in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. But could not do anything special. Arjun could not impress even in the probables’ practice matches before the team’s selection for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In the batting department, the team also includes Indian all-rounder Shivam Dubey, limited-overs specialist Suryakumar Yadav, young openers Yashasvi, Sarfraz Khan and Akhil Harwadkar along with veteran wicketkeeper batsman Aditya Tare.
