Mumbai: Firebrand leader and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray is once again in limelight due to his demand of removing Loudspeakers from Mosques in Maharashtra and cancellation of MPs and MLAs pension from the government.

Raj warned the MVA to remove the loudspeakers from mosques and if it was removed then his party will play Hanuman Chalisa in front of masjids.

After challenging the Maharashtra govt on loudspeakers issue, on Sunday, ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ was played at MNS party’s office in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar area. However, on the question of removal of loudspeakers from Mosques in Maharashtra the Shiv Sena spokesman, Sanjay Raut said that “The law of the land prevails in the state” law will take its own course. While taking a dig at Raj Thackeray he said in which BJP state ‘ajjan’ was stopped.

Earlier the MNS chief has addressed a rally at Shivaji Park in Mumbai where he demanded the removal of loudspeakers from Mosques in the state and also demanded to revoke the pensions provided to MPs and MLAs and even urged to take their farmhouse away from the city limits if they have to be given houses.

Meanwhile, the issue of loudspeakers and Raj Thackeray has become the talk of the town. Taking a jibe at him NCP Chief, Sharad Pawar said that he is a reluctant politician and he can’t work seamlessly for the welfare of the people. He knows him very well since Sena time. Earlier MNS chief has criticised Sharad Pawar for his political interests and lauded the UP CM Yogi Aditynath for his development work in Uttar Pradesh.

Amid the loudspeaker issue, senior BJP leader Gadkari meeting with Raj Thackeray added fuel to the fire in already heated political atmosphere of Maharashtra. Although, Gadkari had said this a family visit and not a political meeting since both have family relations of more than 30 years..
