In the first innings of the match, New Zealand’s team was out for 249 runs and the biggest contribution was Mohammed Shami, with which this Indian pacer has created a new history by breaking a 38-year-old Indian record.
Mohammed Shami took 4 wickets for 76 runs, with which he broke the 38-year-old record of Mohinder Amarnath. This figure is the record for the best performance by an Indian bowler in the final of any ICC Championship. Former great all-rounder Mohinder Amarnath took 3 for 12 against West Indies in the final of the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Shami has now broken that record.
