IPL: Most Australian players to be available in UAE

New Delhi: Australian cricketers will participate in the second phase of IPL 2021. Australian cricketers playing in IPL are preparing to go to UAE. The rest of the IPL will be hosted by the UAE in September-October. According to a report, except Kolkata Knight Riders fast bowler Pat Cummins, most of the Australian cricketers will come to the UAE to participate in the IPL. Remember that Cummins had already denied that he would not participate in the second phase of IPL 2021.

Earlier, speculations suggested that the Australian players were a bit apprehensive about going through the trouble of the bio-bubble after facing the turmoil in India. However, for the time being the talks have been put on hold. Recently, several Australian cricketers withdrew from the tour of West Indies and Bangladesh citing personal reasons. It included the names of Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Daniel Seams, Kane Richardson and Jhye Richardson among others.

Australian limited overs captain Aaron Finch was furious at his teammates, who preferred the IPL over the national team. Finch expressed surprise considering Australia’s workload over the next few months. He said in a conversation with Sen Radio, ‘I am a little surprised. I talked to all of them. It’s a bit surprising, but it’s understandable. But I think he should have been available for the national team. I think it will be difficult for him to justify playing in the second phase of IPL 2021.
