New Delhi: Indian cricketers preparing for the five-match Test series have currently received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in England. The BCCI arranged for his second dose of vaccine in the UK as the players are in the middle of a three-week holiday. Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami also shared the photo of taking the second dose on his Twitter account.

However, the England tour did not start well for India as they lost the final of the World Test Championship to New Zealand by eight wickets in Southampton. The Indian team is likely to participate in some intra-squad practice games against the county teams of England in Durham from July 20. The Indian team members enjoying their vacation will once again be in a bio-secure bubble in Durham, requiring all COVID-19 protocols to be followed. The first Test against England begins in Nottingham on 4 August.

Indian players will have to go through a series of tests before resuming practice. Cases of COVID-19 have been reported in bulk in the United Kingdom. Before the series against Pakistan itself, the English team had come under its grip. Now Corona has made its presence felt in the County Championship as well.
