Bhopal: Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh Narottam Mishra said on Wednesday that Al-Qaeda would be wiped out if it tried to cast an evil eye on India. Mishra made the statement over a possible threat of the terrorists’ group after former BJP spokespersons’ remarks against the Prophet.

Mishra said that the country would spare no effort to curb terrorism. He said that the country is safe under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, so those who are casting an evil eye on India should be erased.

The minister said that Al-Qaeda should be within its limits and if it thinks that it will attack India, it will be eliminated.

According to reports, Al-Qaeda wrote a threat letter: “The saffron terrorists should now await their end in Delhi, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. They should find refuge neither in their homes nor in their fortified Army cantonment.”

It said that the “hearts of Muslims all over the world are bleeding,” and are filled with feelings of revenge and retribution.

It is, however, yet to be learnt who received the letter, when it arrived and from where it came, sources said, adding that an inquiry into it was going on.

BJP spokespersons Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal had allegedly made controversial remarks against the Prophet following which she was suspended from the party. Her statement triggered protests from various countries, especially the Muslim countries.

The countries which protested against the remarks are Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Indonesia, and Iran.
