New Delhi: A minor girl barely knew that her failure to complete homework would be so painful. The girl was left on the terrace of a house in Delhi with her hands and feet tied to a rope. She was lying under the scorching sun bitterly crying. After a video of the incident went viral on social media on Wednesday, the police plunged into action.

Nevertheless, the police had to work hard to find out the address of the house where the incident occurred. Initially, they were told that the house is located in the Karwal Nagar area. But when the police tried to get it confirmed, they were told that no such incident was reported from there.

On further inquiry, the police came to know that the house was in an area under Khajuri Khas police station. Yet, there was no such incident. According to sources in the police department, special teams were sent to verify the address. The police, somehow, reached the spot and came to know that it was the girl’s mother who tied her to the roof for not doing homework.
