The Fashion Design Council of India – FDCI is proving how fashion is not just limited to physical events. In the era of coronavirus crisis, where social distancing and wearing masks has become a norm, the FDCI has announced India’s first-ever digital fashion week.
The announcement was made on social media and has garnered over one lakh views. The officials of FDCI share that as physical fashion week looks like a dream now, they have designed a new strategy to keep the show going on.
The company is willing to invest in technology and is in discussion with designers to finalize the dates of fashion week. However, August seems to be the most likely month for most people in the industry, considering the pandemic’s crisis may reduce by then.
The first-of-kind initiative hopes to create a platform for designers and fashionistas to take fashion to the next level.
