Meerut, 6th October 2026: PNB Housing Finance, one of India’s leading housing finance companies, rolled out an extensive awareness campaign with ‘PMAY Yatra’, taking the conversation on affordable homeownership closer to communities in India’s growing cities. It aims to strengthen awareness about Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0), helping families understand the benefits of the scheme and navigate their home ownership journey with ease. As part of this drive, an awareness canter van was flagged off from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh by Mr. Mukesh Agarwal, Chief Business Officer – Retail, and Mr. Satish Kumar Singh, Chief Business Officer – Affordable Business, along with members of the senior leadership team of PNB Housing Finance.

The campaign will be rolled out across key markets in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. It will leverage a mix of consumer outreach formats and community engagement initiatives such as canter van, street plays, magic shows and vehicle branding to drive meaningful participation from consumers.

Mr. Ajai Shukla, MD & CEO, PNB Housing Finance, commented on the occasion, “Even as PMAY-U 2.0 has created unprecedented opportunities for aspiring homeowners across the country, the challenge lies in enabling last-mile awareness, especially for families who deserve to avail the scheme’s benefits. At PNB Housing Finance, we aim to take information, guidance and support directly to communities through PMAY Yatra, thus helping bridge the gap between aspiration and ownership. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to supporting India’s affordable housing agenda and enabling more families to realize their dream of owning a home.”

Mr. Mukesh Agarwal, Chief Business Officer – Retail, PNB Housing Finance, said, “As housing aspirations rise across India’s emerging cities and demand continues to deepen, it is important to create more touchpoints where aspiring homebuyers can learn about the opportunities available to them. The PMAY Yatra initiative will enable us create greater awareness about PMAY-U 2.0 among eligible families, and support aspiring homebuyers as they take the next step towards homeownership.”

Mr. Satish Kumar Singh, Chief Business Officer – Affordable Business, PNB Housing Finance, added, “The Government’s continued focus on affordable housing through initiatives such as PMAY-U 2.0 has created a strong foundation for expanding homeownership across the country and improving access to formal housing finance. Through PMAY Yatra initiative, we aim to complement these efforts by increasing awareness at the ground level and connecting more families with the benefits available under the scheme.”

PMAY Yatra builds on PNB Housing Finance’s sustained commitment to advancing financial inclusion with affordable housing solutions. The Company recently inaugurated the first-of-its-kind PMAY Nodal Branch in Kanpur and Siliguri. Having supported 8,000+ PMAY-U 2.0 beneficiaries so far, it aims to extend the impact of this initiative through its strong network of 400+ branches across the country.
