Significance of Navratri festival 2020, Day 3

The third day of Navratri festival is celebrated on 19 October 2020. A specific form of Maa Adi Shakti called as Chandraghanta Devi is worshipped on the third day of the festival as she is the third form of the NavaDurga.

Adi Shakti is also called as Adi Parashakti, Parama Shakti, Mahashakti, Mahadevi, Mahagauri, Mahakali, Satyam Shakti and Shakti.

The goddess Adi Shakti means the first supreme energy, which means she is said to be the Supreme Being.

Chandraghanta Devi is called the Goddess of spiritual and inner strength as Maa Chandraghanta removes all the problems from her devotees’ lives and gives all the happiness in life.

Mantra of Chandraghanta Devi Puja:

Om Aim Hreem Chandraghantay Namah ||
Om Devi Chandraghantayayi Namah(108 times)
Pindaj Pravaarudhchandkopastrkairyuta |
Prasadam Tanute Madhyam Chandraghantetivishrutaa ||
